From the Black Zine Fair Instagram post:
Sojourners for Justice Press is organizing a 🖤 Black Zine Fair 🖤 in New York City in celebration of the contributions Black people have made to the history of independent publishing. Before zines, there were chapbooks, pamphlets, leaflets, and assembling magazines—and Black people have made them all!
The Black Zine Fair is an opportunity for Black zine makers and independent publishers to connect with each other, distribute their work, and celebrate Black history. We welcome individuals and collectives, small presses, educators, institutions, booksellers, and distributors who are led by Black people and/or focus on subject matter surrounding Blackness.
Other cosponsors include The Free Black Women's Library, Logic(s) Magazine, and Orange Tangent Study.
