Small Works for Big Change, the annual benefit event supporting the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP), will be held at 6pm Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Jack Studios in New York. Now in its seventh year, this vibrant annual celebration reflects the radical spirit of SRLP and the experimental energy of some of New York’s most innovative contemporary artists, both established and emerging. 100% of the event’s proceeds will benefit SRLP’s advocacy work for transgender communities. The event is free and open to the public.
Cindy Crabb has been writing the influential, internationally distributed, autobiographical-feminist zine Doris since the early 90’s. Join us in celebrating her new book “The Encyclopedia of Doris,” which brings together the last 10 years of Doris zines with a ton of new writing at Bluestockings Bookstore, Sunday, September 25 at 7:00.
Check out For the Birds! It is an NYC-based feminist collective and zine distro - from their "About" section, they are self-described as:

I'm excited to see that one of my favorite zinesters/minicomics artists, Katy Weselcouch, is about to publish her first book, a graphic novel The Floundering Time. Among our Zine Collection holdings for Katy are a zine called The Floundering Time, Katy's popular high school zine Jellybean, several Punk Boys titles, and a few others about or based on her study abroad (from Smith College) in Paris.
