Call For Submissions: The Agender Zine Project

The Agender Zine Project seeks to showcase the creativity of agender, neutrois, genderless and similarly identified folks from around the world. Whether you’re a poet or a painter, or you’ve just got a story to tell, this zine is for you. There’s no theme for our inaugural issue; if you’re creating work that explores issues of gender, identity, bodies, expression, relationships, sexuality, and daily life as an agender, neutrois, or genderless person, let’s share it with the world. This is a space to express your creativity and to tell your stories; as a publication, this zine will take its shape from your submissions.
Representation is absolutely vital, and it’s especially important to lift up perspectives that are marginalized even within our nonbinary communities. This is a priority of the Agender Zine Project.
The first issue of the Agender Zine Project will be published in February 2015. The zine will be published in print form, and will be sold online and shipped internationally.
Submissions for the inaugural issue will be accepted through December 30th, 2014. Send in your personal essays, poetry, short stories, and visual art pieces. The more creative, the better!
The zine will be printed in black-and-white, and so if you’re submitting visual art, please keep that in mind. Prose submissions should be no longer than 1200 words. You may submit up to three poems. Work previously published elsewhere may be submitted, as long as you still have the rights to your work!
You may submit under the name of your choosing - full name, first name, pseudonym, or anonymously.
