Summer Library Job: Zines Assistant
Open to Barnard and Columbia students and '12 graduates.
Responsibilities:
- Read and abstract zines (If you don't know about zines, check out our zines site.)
- Process zines for archives and stacks
- Update our blog
- Other duties as they arise
Flexible hours: 10-35 hours within M-F 9-5 week.
Pay: depends on how the College handles housing. If there is no free housing, we'll up the hourly wage to compensate.
Requires excellent writing skills. Send two zine abstracts to zines@barnard.edu or drop them off at the library reference desk for Jenna Freedman. Two to three sentence abstracts should be descriptive rather than critical.
Knowledge of zines, punk, and/or activist communities a plus.
