Head over to Minneapolis Community & Technical College Library this Saturday, March 30th! The library is hosting "Publishing to the People," which is held in collaboration with the Minnesota Museum of American Art's exhibit "DIY Printing: Presses Not Required." They've got events going from 9-3, including zine cataloguing, zine making, button making, and a panel discussion with museum employees and librarians.
Event coordinator Elissah Becknell says:
"MCTC Library will be exploring the desire for self-expression in DIY publishing. How zines and other forms of DIY publishing fit into the curriculum, campus life and the community around us. We also hope to reimagine the space around the zine collection as potential new maker space for publishing and other forms of creative DIY expression. Bring your family and friends, join us and create something"
More info on all of the day's events can be found here, on the MCTC blog.
