Booklyn Artists Alliance is having a 24-Hour Zine Event starting Saturday, July 27th! Described as an "OVERNIGHT ZINE FACTORY / SLUMBER PARTY / MEDIA JAM," this is one party that you don't want to miss!

Pete's Mini Zine Fest is back! The ol' fest-in-a-bar strikes again!

Time for a road/train trip! Sarah Lawrence College will host a Queer/Feminist Zine Fest coming up on November 10th. Readings, tabling, and rad zines galore!

Last month I attended the Women of Color Zine Symposium in Portland, Oregon. As you may know, our collection development policy states our emphasis on zines by women of color, which is why it was important for me to zoom across the country for a two-day visit to the whitest city in America.  It was great to connect with many email correspondents and Facebook friends like Cathy Camper, Emi Koyama, LaMesha Melton and Sugene Yang-Kelly and to meet a few new-to-me WOC zinesters.

On August 18th, the fifth annual queer lit bookfair, Queer Between the Covers, is taking place in Montreal, as a part of the 10-day Montreal Pride program.

You can bet we'll be staying tuned to the Philly Feminist Zine Fest site for details about the late-August event!

For $10, you can have a table at a fun, mellow zine fest in a Williamsburg bar on Saturday, July 21st from 2-7. (In my experience the event has been all-ages, but drinking only for grown-ups.)

Do you ever read the Missed Connections section of Craigslist and wish that more zinesters showed up? Submit your stories of splitzines, admiration, and/or passionate yearning to Zine Crush!
