Call for Donations
The Cushing Memorial Library and Archives at Texas A&M University is resolved to start collecting zines. TAMU hopes to make zines one of its collecting strengths, and to provide a permanent, accessible Texas home in its archives for the alternative voices that zines document and preserve.
We have selected a few specific areas in which to begin building our zine collections, which tie into existing TAMU collecting strengths.
These include:
- Zines created by Texans or other Southwesterners and/or concern Texas or the Southwest.
- Zines created by African-Americans or Latino/as in Texas or the Southwest.
- Zines created by TAMU students or former students.
- Genre fanzines.
- Artzines concerned with printing and/or designed as print art objects.
Cushing Library welcomes donations of zines with these subjects, along with any information that zinesters would like to provide about themselves and their work. We would appreciate names and addresses where possible.
