Call for Donations
The Cushing Memorial Library and Archives at Texas A&M University is resolved to start collecting zines. TAMU hopes to make zines one of its collecting strengths, and to provide a permanent, accessible Texas home in its archives for the alternative voices that zines document and preserve.

Here's a call for participation in a research project, from one of our favorite zinesters and donors, Lauren Jade Martin. If you're female, don't have kids, and you're between the ages of 25 and 40, help her out!
An instructor in the Young Women's Leadership Initiative program asked me to pull zines with these guidelines:
I think it's less important to show range--since they will be making pretty traditional format zines--and more important just to show strong examples with good layout and intelligent writing. The more "issue"-oriented the better, since I'm going to be focusing on the idea of making political zines as opposed to purely personal or diaristic ones.
