30-Hour Sloth, by Sarah Wayward: Zines W39t no.1 2006
I love this hand- and typewritten new-to-us zine from 2006. If I had the time and energy I'd give you thirty reasons, but since I don't, how about three?
One: Sloth Facts, including
- The sloth bear from India is not a sloth.
- Sloths are particularly partial to nesting in the crowns of palm trees, where they disguise themselves as coconuts.
- Sloths are related to anteaters, but they won't eat leaves with ants on them.
Two: recipe for "food pie," which consists of clean-out-the-fridge veggies, tofu, and miso gravy in a vegan pie crust.
Three: the page titled "capturing the elusive WILD YEAST."
